The
Port of The Dalles Marina
is located on the Columbia River at River Mile Post 190. The Marina
features moorage for all types of vessels with drafts up to 14 feet
(in most areas). Moorage s available for both boathouses and open moorage
for power and sail vessels. All walks are lighted and water/power/telephone
are available. A new public boat pumpout station is available to all
tenants and guests.

The perfect centralized location for The Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles provides quick and easy access to a number of recreational opportunities - rafting, boating, swimming, skiing, hiking, windsurfing, fishing and rock climbing. |

Northern
Wasco County Park and Recreation District
Northern Wasco County Park and Recreation District manages the green spaces of The Dalles. Parks include Sorosis, City, Thompson, Howe, Firehouse, Riverfront, and Kramer Fields. They also will provide the management of The Chenowith Table, a wilderness area located at the west end of the community. Commemorative rose garden, Veteran's Memorial, Treetop Children's Play Park all elements of Sorosis. Tennis courts, walking/jogging path, picnic areas, and tall, tall trees with one of the best views of the Columbia River available in The Dalles. The park is nestled against the Columbia Gorge Community College at the top of the town. Batter up! Kramer fields is home to many a game. Little league, mixed teams, you name it. This facility is used for some of the best baseball tournaments in the state. Often times inclement weather in the Portland Metro area will cause their teams to play on sunny The Dalles fields! Thompson Park is home to the public swimming pool. Plans are in development for an aquatic center with an indoor pool for year-round use. Relax, enjoy the view and the services at any of these sites. Northern Wasco County Park and Recreation also provides a number of programs year round. They include volleyball, basketball, No School Fun Days, Fun Zone, Family Fitness Day and more.
